titleOfInvention Fluorinated phenylthiophene-based polymerizable mesogen compound having improved solubility in host liquid crystal, method for producing same, and polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing same
abstract The present invention relates to a fluorinated phenylthiophene-based polymerizable mesogen compound having improved solubility in a host liquid crystal, a method for producing the same, and a polymerizable liquid crystal composition comprising the same. The phenylthiophene-based polymerizable mesogenic compound of the present invention increases the solubility in the vertical alignment type host liquid crystal by asymmetrically introducing a fluorine group as a solubility-enhancing group into the phenylthiophene nucleus, and acts as a photoreactive group. The introduction of methacrylic acid esters through groups can improve the stability of the pretilt angle after photocrosslinking, so it can be effectively used as a polymerizable liquid crystal composition, especially for a liquid crystal display device of the polymer stable orientation type polymeric liquid crystal composition.
