The present invention relates to a method of characterizing ultrasonic trauma (T) of organic tissue resulting from the application of high-intensity focused ultrasound delivered by a probe, the emitting surface of which has an annular geometry, the method comprising: obtaining at least one image (Ie) characterizing the organic tissue after a delay of at least two days from the end of applying the ultrasound; detecting the presence of a contrast boundary (16) in the characterizing image (Ie); and, based on the contrast boundary (16), determining Degree of ultrasound trauma. |
