Thermostable vaccine formulations, processes and microneedles containing vaccine formulations |
abstract |
The present invention provides formulations and methods for stabilizing antigens in dried solid vaccines. One aspect pertains to dry solid formulations of influenza vaccines comprising one or more excipients believed to confer stability to influenza antigens. Another aspect relates to a dry solid formulation of a measles vaccine comprising one or more excipients believed to confer stability to the measles antigen. The formulations may be in a form suitable for reconstitution in a physiologically acceptable liquid vehicle to form an injectable solution or suspension for administration to a patient; or as dissolvable microneedles or coated microneedles. Needle form. |
