titleOfInvention | Fluid-filled chamber with stacked tensile members |
abstract | The present invention relates to fluid-filled chambers having stacked tensile members. A fluid-filled chamber may have a barrier, a stacked tensile member, and a fluid. The barrier can be formed from a polymeric material that is sealed to define the interior void. A stacked tensile member can be located within the interior void and include a first tensile element and a second tensile element coupled to each other. Additionally, opposite sides of the stacked tensile members are coupled to the barrier. Fluid is located within the interior void and can be pressurized to place an outward force on the barrier and induce tension in the stacked tensile members. In some configurations, each of the tensile elements can be a spacer fabric. |
