abstract |
The present teachings relate to a liquid pharmaceutical formulation of furosemide, wherein the pharmaceutical formulation comprises a molar excess of tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane to furosemide, has a pH of 7 to 8.5, and greater than or equal to about 50 mM tris( hydroxymethyl) aminomethane concentration. The present teachings can improve the stability of liquid pharmaceutical formulations comprising furosemide and the suitability of such pharmaceutical formulations for subcutaneous administration or delivery. |
