titleOfInvention | Methods of inhibiting the expression of maize ZmDAR1 family genes to improve maize grain yield |
abstract | The invention discloses a method for inhibiting the expression of maize ZmDAR1 family gene and improving maize grain yield. The method uses transgenic technology to inhibit the function of maize ZmDAR1 family gene ZmDAR1 by overexpressing mutant gene ZmDAR1m, and uses RNAi technology and antisense gene technology to transfer ZmDAR1 into ZmDAR1. Antisense gene or ZmDAR1RNAi structure or ZmDAR2RNAi structure reduced the expression level of ZmDAR1 gene, and obtained transgenic maize lines with significantly higher grain yield than non-transgenic inbred lines. The method of the invention significantly improves the high-yield property of maize plants, has no significant influence on plant morphological characteristics and growth period, and has important significance and good application value in maize breeding. |
