abstract The present invention relates to a method for labeling biomolecules using18F via fluorine linkage to a metal complex, wherein the metal complex is conjugated to the biomolecule. The present invention highlights the addition of hydrogen bonding (H-bonding) to metal complex scaffolds, and how this can be used to enhance the kinetics of fluoride incorporation. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions, kits and methods for in vivo imaging.
