Disclosed is a polyethylene composition having an improved balance between environmental stress crack resistance (FNCT) and impact resistance (Charpy), particularly suitable for the preparation of pipes, said composition having the following characteristics: 1) The density is 0.945 -0.955 g/cm 3 ; 2) MIF/MIP ratio is from greater than 30 to 45; 3) Shear-induced crystallization index SIC is 1.0-2.5; 4) Long chain branching index is equal to or greater than 0.85. |
