The denitrification method includes: (1) the SNCR reaction stage of the downward air flow in the vertical flue of the coke oven combustion chamber; (2) the SCR reaction stage in the first-stage flue of the coke oven; (3) the SCR reaction stage in the second-stage flue of the coke oven. The denitrification method and system of the invention can make the SNCR/SCR reactions all occur at the optimum reaction temperature, thereby increasing the denitrification efficiency to 90-95%.
