titleOfInvention | Antifungal plants expressing MybTF |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method of increasing resistance in plants and/or plant cells against fungal pathogens of the order Pucciniales. This is achieved by increasing the expression of the MybTF protein or fragment thereof in the plant, plant part and/or plant cell compared to the wild-type plant, wild-type plant part and/or wild-type plant cell. In addition, the present invention relates to transgenic plants, plant parts and/or plant cells having increased resistance against fungal pathogens, in particular pathogens of the order Puccinia, and to sequences comprising sequences identical or homologous to those encoding the MybTF protein recombinant expression vector. |
