The present invention provides a viable alternative to the use of nematode-toxic compounds that are environmentally hazardous and can damage human health. This replacement is embodied by nematotoxic compositions that are used to control nematodes and that can be used on plants, plant parts and soil. The related art is derived from unexpected results obtained from experiments using extracts of the plant Canavalia ensiformis , which resulted in an unprecedented nematode toxicity comprising a specific combination of substances naturally occurring in the extract and having a synergistic effect combination. |
