abstract | It is attempted to establish a method for evaluating a blood coagulation reaction using a substance having an alternative activity for the activity of coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) with respect to various hemostatic effect evaluation methods and various blood coagulation initiation reagents. As a result, it is found that, when a coagulation initiation reagent comprising activated coagulation factor XI (FXIa) and a phospholipid is used, the effect of a substance having an alternative activity for the activity of coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) on a blood coagulation reaction can be evaluated employing the amount of thrombin produced in a blood sample as a measure. |
