abstract An optomechanical system for operating with a container containing a fluid to be administered in the eye, or a container such as a syringe used to administer insulin injections. The base of the system is equipped with an optical system and a processing/recording device configured to receive optical data from light (visible or infrared) reflected by the area near the eye, which represents the flow rate of the fluid coming from the container. Temporal and spatial characteristics of the course of drop administration into the eye. Image analysis software or human observation can be used to analyze the recorded images.
