titleOfInvention | Electrophoresis device and display unit |
abstract | The present disclosure relates to a display device comprising a first layer (30A) and a second layer (30B) arranged adjacent to each other. The refractive index of the second layer (30B) may be different from the refractive index of the first layer (30A). The device further includes a plurality of electrophoretic particles (20) associated with at least one of the first layer (30A) and the second layer (30B). The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing a display device comprising positioning a first layer (30A) adjacent to a second layer (30B). A plurality of electrophoretic particles (20) are positioned within at least one of the first layer (30A) and the second layer (30B). The display device is operated by applying an electric field to induce movement of a plurality of electrophoretic particles (20) through the first layer (30A) towards the second layer (30B). |
