titleOfInvention | Low-temperature sputtered copper-zinc-tin-selenium solar cell |
abstract | The invention discloses a novel 'copper-zinc-tin-selenium (CZTS)' thin film solar cell belonging to the 'kesterite' category. The structure of the novel 'CZTS' thin film solar cell is very similar to that of a 'copper-indium-gallium-selenium' thin film solar cell. However, the novel 'CZTS' solar cell is stricter with stoichiometry matching of 'copper, zinc, tin and selenium'. According to the 'CZTS' thin film solar cell manufactured with a four-element ceramic target and by a one-time 'low-temperature sputtering and post-selenization' process, a soda-lime glass substrate is plated with a molybdenum thin film which is about 0.35 to 1.0 microns thick, the molybdenum thin film layer is plated with a 'CZTS' thin film which is about 0.7 to 1.5 microns thick, a crystal is formed after annealing, 'cadmium sulphide' is deposited on the 'CZTS' thin film crystal by a 'chemical bath deposition (CBD)' process, and a 'p-n junction' thin film area is built. By using low-temperature sputtering, the defect of 'selenium' loss is avoided. The low-temperature sputtered CZTS solar cell of the invention has great advantages for large-area uniform and repetitive production of stoichiometry, and mass production can be promoted. |
