abstract The present invention relates to a ceramic, which comprises alumina and a strontium oxide having a perovskite structure. The invention also relates to a preparation method of the ceramic, and the method is as follows: (1) mixing evenly a sintering additive and a ceramic raw material which comprises a matrix material, an additive, a toughening agent and a black coloring agent in an organic solvent, and adding a binder for mixing evenly to obtain mixed slurry; (2) drying the mixed slurry obtained by the step (1) to remove the organic solvent to obtain spherical powder; (3) molding the spherical powder obtained by the step (2) dry pressing, and sintering to obtain the ceramic; wherein the matrix material is alumina, the additive contains strontium carbonate, and during the sintering process, the toughening agent and the black coloring agent both can form the perovskite structure with the additive. The present invention also relates to a ceramic prepared by the method, and strong toughness and high blackness ceramic can be prepared by the method.
