abstract |
Provided is a method for producing a binder composition for electrical storage devices, which has excellent dispersion stability and enables the achievement of satisfactory electrode properties. A method for producing a binder composition for electrical storage devices, said method comprising: an emulsion polymerization step of subjecting a monomer mixture containing a fluorinated vinyl monomer to emulsion polymerization in the presence of an anionic emulsifying agent (A) as mentioned below, an aqueous medium and a radical polymerization initiator to produce a latex containing a fluorinated polymer; and a post-addition step of adding an anionic emulsifying agent (B) as mentioned below to the latex. The anionic emulsifying agent (A): an anionic emulsifying agent which has no phenyl group in the molecule thereof. The anionic emulsifying agent (B): an anionic emulsifying agent which has a phenyl group in the molecule thereof. |
