titleOfInvention Compositions, devices, systems and methods for digesting excited states of electrons
abstract According to some embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to molecules comprising conjugated fused polycyclic molecules that can receive excited state energy from other molecules (eg, light absorbing molecules) or directly from a radiation source. According to some embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to molecules comprising conjugated fused polycyclic molecules that can digest (e.g., quench, dissipate) excited states, typically by releasing the excited state energy as heat (e.g., heat) energy. Conjugated fused polycyclic molecules having various structures are disclosed, including formula (III). The present disclosure further relates to methods of use and/or methods of treatment using molecules of formula (I), (II) and/or (III).
