titleOfInvention Cultivation technique for poplar
abstract The invention discloses a cultivation technique for poplar. The cultivation technique is realized by adopting the following steps: (1) selection of improved poplar seeds and strong poplar seedlings: a strong poplar seedling is selected according to the standards that the poplar seedling is 1 to 2 years old, has a height of above 3.5 meters, a semidiameter of above 2.5 centimeters and a root width of above 40 centimeters, absorbs enough moisture, is fully lignificated, is free of diseases and pests and splitting damages, and has a trunk without large bending; (2) forest land selection and soil preparation: the poplar seedling is most suitable for being planted in sandy soil with sufficient fertilizer and moisture and can not be planted in heavy saline-alkali land, easily-waterlogged lowland suffering from waterlogging for more than one month in growing season and arid barren land without water conservancy conditions, and if the poplar seedling is planted in land with barren soil, the land should be comprehensively deep plowed for 30 to 40 centimeters before planting of the poplar seedling so as to improve water and fertilizer retention ability and permeability of soil and strengthen the utilization rate of deep soil by poplar roots; (3) planting: a step of firstly carrying out digging, secondly applying fertilizer, thirdly filling the soil, and fourthly carrying out watering; and (4) tending management, disease and pest prevention and control, and branch pruning.
