The invention relates to an additive for increasing tire strength, belonging to the field of rubber ingredients. The additive comprises modified rare-earth oxide, wherein the modified rare-earth oxide accounts for 1-10 wt% of the additive. The modified rare-earth oxide is prepared by the following steps: adding rare-earth oxide into a surfactant, dispersing, filtering, and drying. The additive can increase the tire strength. |
