abstract | A novel tetrafunctional epoxy resin, its preparation method and application, belong to the technical field of organic macromolecules. Its structure is shown below. The phenolic hydroxyl group in the four-functionality terminal phenolic hydroxyl group is epoxidized to obtain the four-functionality epoxy resin. Taking 1,4-bis(trisphenolylmethane)butane tetraglycidyl ether as an example, the epoxy value of the obtained target product is 0.42mol/100g which is close to the theoretical value of 0.46mol/100g. Four-functional epoxy resin is compounded with linear bisphenol A epoxy resin, and then cured with a variety of curing agents to obtain an epoxy material with high glass transition temperature, high strength, high elongation and high toughness. Among them, the epoxy material obtained by using 4,4 diaminodiphenyl sulfone as the curing agent has the following properties: glass transition temperature 220°C, impact strength 27kJ/m 2 , tensile strength 80MPa, elongation at break 11.18%, dynamic The tensile modulus was 2.1 GPa.
