abstract The invention relates to a preparation method of a bone carbuncle rabbit model and an application of the model to evaluating bone nonunion treating effects of bone carbuncles, which belong to the field of experimental animals. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting an animal and breeding conditions; (2) recovering and culturing strains; (3) partially and physically stimulating tibias; (4) anesthetizing; (5) preparing the bone carbuncle model; (6) observing and treating after an operation; (7) evaluating the bone carbuncle model; (8) applying the bone carbuncle rabbit model to evaluating the bone nonunion treating effects of the bone carbuncles. According to the bone carbuncle rabbit model developed by the invention, an animal model and detection indexes can be provided for promoting the screening and development of bone nonunion treating drugs of the bone carbuncles.
