titleOfInvention A method for processing metal loss defects in pipeline girth welds
abstract The invention relates to a manufacturing method for metal loss defects of pipe girth welds. It uses high-pressure water jets to intercept multiple small pipe sections of equal length on standard pipes, cuts both ends of the small pipe sections into V-shaped grooves of standard length, and welds the two small pipe sections together to form multiple pipe sections with standard rings. The small pipe section of the weld; mark the center position and defect length of the girth weld defect that needs to be processed on the inner and outer surfaces of the girth weld, the side wall of the weld, and the center position of the short pipe section with the girth weld. Cut a small gap at the defect position, and then gradually grind the marked defect along the pre-processed small gap until the depth meets the design requirements, repeat the above steps to process other short pipe sections with girth weld defects, and finally connect each short pipe section. The invention provides test data support for the performance index verification and calibration of the inner detector, and improves the identification probability and size quantification accuracy of the inner detector of the pipeline to the metal loss defect of the girth weld.
