titleOfInvention | Polypeptide expression method |
abstract | A method for producing a polypeptide of interest in a host cell, the method comprising: a. providing a host cell loaded with a nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide of interest, wherein the polypeptide of interest is modified such that it comprises fewer methionine and/or lysine residues than the reference polypeptide, excluding any initial methionine amino acid located at the N-terminus of the polypeptide sequence; b. culturing the host cell under conditions suitable for production of the polypeptide; and optionally, c. recovering the target compound. The invention also relates to modified polypeptides comprising fewer methionine and/or lysine residues than a reference polypeptide, except for any initial methionine amino acid at the N-terminus of the polypeptide sequence. |
