titleOfInvention Guangxi pond turtle brood turtle breeding method
abstract Provided is a Guangxi pond turtle brood turtle breeding method. The method comprises the steps that a brood turtle breeding pool is constructed: the brood turtle breeding pool is constructed into two pools with communicating openings, a spawning sand pool is constructed in one pool with a larger area, the spawning sand pool is provided with sand which is used by female turtles to lay eggs, water outlets, a water inlet and a spillway hole are reserved on the brood turtle breeding pool; brood turtles are raised: during a wintering period from January to March, a spawning period from April to July, a postpartum convalescent period in August and a pre-wintering period in December of every year, female brood turtles are put in the pool with the larger area and the spawning pool, and breeding is carried out, male brood turtles are put in the water pool with a smaller area and breeding is carried out; during a rutting and mating period from September to November, the male and female brood turtles are bred by combing the two pools, and free mating is carried out among the brood turtles; the temperature is regulated: feedstuff is provided for the brood turtles: water quality is regulated: according to the reproductive habits of the Guangxi pond turtles, separate pool breeding is carried out on male and female individuals during the spawning period, the postpartum convalescent period and the wintering period, mating is carried out between male and female individuals by combining the two pools during the rutting and mating period. Therefore, the requirements of spawning and postpartum recovery are met, the mating is guaranteed, and the breeding survival rate, the egg laying amount and the fertility rate are increased.
