titleOfInvention Method for Rapid Propagation of Phalaenopsis by Utilizing Pedicel Segments After Cutting Buds to Induce Cluster Buds
abstract The invention discloses a method for rapid plant propagation. It uses flowered phalaenopsis pedicel axillary buds to induce vegetative buds and discarded pedicel stems after bud cutting as explants, and directly inoculates them into induction medium for clustering For the induction of buds, the induced new shoots are excised and inoculated into the proliferation medium for subculture, and finally rooted and strong seedlings and tissue cultured seedlings are transplanted. The method enables the axillary buds on the pedicels of the Phalaenopsis orchids that have bloomed and the waste materials of the pedicels after bud cutting to germinate multiple times in the artificially prepared medium to produce new shoots. Its advantage is that it does not affect the normal flowering period of the Phalaenopsis and does not harm the mother plant of the Phalaenopsis. It can also reuse the stems of the Phalaenopsis for 2-3 times, make full use of the pedicel materials, turn waste into treasure, and greatly improve the quality of the Phalaenopsis. The reproduction rate and production capacity of tissue culture seedlings, the produced seedlings are robust and neat, and are convenient for industrialized management of seedlings.
