abstract The present invention relates to the technical field of plant, in particular to a relay cropping soybean and radix bupleuri cultivation method The present invention relates to the technical field of plant, in particular to a relay cropping soybean and radix bupleuri cultivation method which includes the following steps: selecting fertile, loose and seeper-free field for planting, fertilizing, deep ploughing, levelling before planting, in early March, sowing soybean seeds, in early April, excavating shallow trenches with a depth of 1-2 cm between soybean plants, pouring enough water, spreading the germinated seeds evenly in the bottom of the trenches, harvesting the soybeans in July, and adding 50 kg of organic fertilizers per acre after harvesting soybeans; further adding fertilizers when radix bupleuri seedlings grow to a height of 12-15 cm, promptly removing flower hearts and flower buds at flowering period, promptly cutting the stems and leaves on the ground in June and July of the second year after sowing, and harvesting radix bupleuri in March. The cultivation method uses soybean and radix bupleuri relay cropping method and plants soybeans in March. In April, soybean plants grow to a certain height, and thus can shade just planted radix bupleuri and need no manual operated shading. In July, soybeans are in mature period, while radix bupleuri only grow leaves and stems, and thus does not affect the harvest of soybeans, and conventional mechanical harvesting can be conducted. The cultivation method on the one hand improves the survival rate of radix bupleuri and on the other hand improves the utilization of soil as well as the income of farmers.
