abstract |
The present invention aims to provide a new medical application using pluripotent stem cells (Muse cells) in regenerative medicine. The present invention provides a cell preparation containing SSEA-3-positive pluripotent stem cells isolated from interstitial tissue or cultured interstitial cells of a living body and used for treating myocardial infarction, especially severe large myocardial infarction, and heart failure associated therewith . The cell preparation of the present invention is based on the regeneration mechanism of myocardial tissue in which Muse cells are selectively accumulated in myocardial tissue by intravenous administration of Muse cells to subjects with the above-mentioned diseases and differentiated into the myocardium in the tissue. |
