abstract The invention relates to an SCR (selective catalytic reduction) catalyst for diesel engine tail gas purification and a preparation method thereof. The SCR catalyst is composed of a cordierite honeycomb ceramic support, TiO2, MnMoO4, K2WO4, Rh-Pd modified natural mordenite, Al2O3 and SiO2, wherein the total supporting amount of the TiO2, MnMoO4, K2WO4, Rh-Pd modified natural mordenite, Al2O3 and SiO2 is 65g per liter of the cordierite honeycomb ceramic support; and the mass ratio of the TiO2, MnMoO4, K2WO4, Rh-Pd modified natural mordenite, Al2O3 and SiO2 is 100:(5-8):(5-8):(5-10):(3-7):(3-8) on the basis of Al2O3-based pseudoboehmite and SiO2-based silica sol. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly coating the TiO2, MnMoO4, K2WO4, Rh-Pd modified natural mordenite, pseudoboehmite and silica sol on the surface of the cordierite honeycomb ceramic support, blowing out excess slurry by using high-pressure gas, drying and roasting. The catalyst has higher diesel engine SCR activity, and can effectively eliminate NOx.
