abstract The invention discloses mesoporous-silicon-containing halogen-free antiflaming epoxy resin and a preparation method thereof. The mesoporous-silicon-containing halogen-free antiflaming epoxy resin comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of epoxy resin, 1-10 parts of mesoporous silicon, 18-30 parts of a microencapsulated intumescent flame retardant, 60-90 parts of a curing agent and 0.1-1 part of an accelerator. Due to doping of mesoporous silicon and by virtue of the synergistic flame retardance of mesoporous silicon and the silane-coated mesoporous-silicon-containing halogen-free antiflaming epoxy resin, the mesoporous-silicon-containing halogen-free antiflaming epoxy resin has strong flame retardance reaching the level of UL94-V0, has high oxygen index of more than 33, meets the requirement on no halogen, is friendly to the environment; in addition, the flame retardant is well dispersed in epoxy resin and therefore the mesoporous-silicon-containing halogen-free antiflaming epoxy resin achieves reduced hygroscopicity and excellent mechanical property; and moreover, the preparation method is relatively simple, is easy to implement and has excellent development and application prospect.
