abstract | The invention relates to a preparation method of an iodine-doped titanium dioxide nano-catalyst and its use in heterogeneously catalyzing trans-carotenoid configuration conversion. The nano-catalyst uses titanate as a precursor and an iodine-containing compound as a dopant. Under the action of diluent, inhibitor and complexing agent, iodine-doped titania nanocatalyst was prepared by sol-gel method. The catalyst exhibits high activity for the isomerization of trans-carotenoids to their cis-isomers with a short catalytic time. The catalyst has the characteristics of simple preparation process, high efficiency, economy, reusability and environmental friendliness. |
