titleOfInvention | Method for synthesizing 5-nitro indoleacetic acid |
abstract | The invention discloses a method for synthesizing 5-nitro indoleacetic acid. The treatment method comprises the following steps: mixing concentrated nitric acid with concentrated sulfuric acid, adding methylbenzene and bromine, performing temperature reaction until a yellow precipitate appears at the bottom, separating out the precipitate, and drying to obtain 2-methyl-5-nitrobenzene for later use; adding 2-methyl-5-nitrobenzene triethyl orthoformate and oxalic acid into a reaction bottle, mixing for dissolving, dropwise adding a sodium hydroxide solution, heating to reflux for 4 hours, cooling in ice salt water, adding an ethanol solution, adjusting the pH value by using dilute sulfuric acid, filtering solids, washing with distilled water, drying, and crystallizing to obtain 5-nitroindole for later use; and adding 5-nitroindole, potassium hydroxide and carboxyl acetic acid into the reaction kettle, heating, stirring for 20 hours, cooling to 50 DEG C, adding 50mL of distilled water, extracting by using ethyl ether, adding dilute sulfuric acid to deposit 5-nitroindole acetic acid, filtering the deposit, and drying to obtain 5-nitroindole acetic acid, wherein the yield is 86.3%. The method is novel and simple and is high in yield. |
