Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery |
abstract |
Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which comprises: an electrode body composed of both a positive electrode that contains a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode that contains a negative electrode active material, both electrodes facing each other; a nonaqueous electrolyte; an oxalato complex which contains a boron atom; and a battery case in which the electrode body, the oxalato complex and the electrolyte are housed. Here, a film that contains boron atoms resulting from the oxalato complex is present on the surface of the negative electrode active material, wherein the relationship 0.5<= BA/BM<= 1.0 is satisfied [wherein BM ([mu]g/cm2) is the quantity of boron atoms as determined by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry, and BA is the intensity of tricoordinate boron atoms as determined by X-ray absorption fine structure]. |
