abstract | The invention discloses a menthol and propylene glycol polyether complex compound which is prepared by taking a nonionic surfactant, namely propylene glycol polyether, as a carrier. The menthol and propylene glycol polyether complex compound has the favorable effects of expelling wind, preventing corrosion, diminishing inflammation, relieving itching and the like and is an intermediate for producing drugs, daily chemical products and foods. The menthol and propylene glycol polyether complex compound is a colorless or light yellow liquid in appearance, has rather good water solubility, is dissolved into solvents such as ethanol, isopropanol and acetone and has the pH value (1% water solution) of 5-7, the molecular weight of 1400-1600, the water content (%) of less than or equal to 1.0 and the menthol content of 5-10%. The menthol and propylene glycol polyether complex compound has the advantages that production raw materials are easily obtained, no pollution and wastes are generated in the production process, and the requirement of an environment-friendly chemical production process is met. |
