The color-forming composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising (A) a radical generator, (B) a compound represented by formula (1), and (C) a binder polymer. The color-forming curable composition of the present invention is characterized in that it further contains (E) a polymerizable compound. Also, the lithographic printing plate precursor of the present invention has an image recording layer comprising a chromogenic curable composition (In the formula (1), R 1 represents a group that is released by reacting with the free radical generated by the (A) free radical generating agent, and forms a pigment after the release. T represents a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring).
