abstract The invention relates to a sensory evaluation determination method for the aroma threshold value of cigarette aroma components. The sensory evaluation determination method concretely comprises the following steps: (1) diluting cigarette aroma components into four concentration gradients with ethanol according to ratios of 1/3, 1/9, 1/27 and 1/81; (2) quantitatively injecting into a cigarette, and injecting ethanol of the same concentration to produce a blank sample so as to achieve balance as required; (3) enabling at least 13 persons to conduct sensory trials by adopting a method of combining blind evaluation and paired comparison so as to primarily determine the concentration range of the threshold value; (4) inserting a concentration value within the threshold concentration range obtained in the step (3), by adopting a golden section method, and conducting sensory evaluation by using the method in the step (3) so as to further reduce the concentration range of threshold value; and (5) inserting a concentration value within the threshold concentration range, obtained in the step (4), by adopting the golden section method, enabling five to seven persons to do sensory evaluation by using a three-point detection method, and repeating the steps until the threshold value point is found out. The method can determine substances which play a crucial role in the process of expressing aroma characteristics of the cigarette, as well as the action degree, thus having a great development prospect.
