abstract The invention discloses a thioxanthone photoinitiator and a preparation method thereof. The thioxanthone photoinitiator is represented by formula (I). This type of compound has a tertiary amine structure in its molecular structure, which can be effectively used as an H donor of an active functional group. It can be initiated without adding an additional active amine auxiliary agent during use, and is a self-initiated hydrogen abstraction type photoinitiator; in addition , the introduction of side chains increases the solubility of this type of compound in various resins and their oligomers, and is a good thioxanthone photoinitiator.
