titleOfInvention Permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine and vehicle equipped with permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine
abstract The present invention provides a permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine. A rotor core has a plurality of magnet insertion holes with substantially rectangular cross-sections for each magnetic pole. Nonmagnetic sections are formed at both end portions of each magnet insertion hole in the circumferential direction. Between adjacent magnet insertion holes, a bridge section is formed mechanically connecting the section of the rotor core outward of the magnet insertion holes and the section of the rotor core inward of the same. Recess sections for corner sections of the permanent magnet to be inserted into each magnet insertion hole are disposed in each magnet insertion hole at the corner sections thereof that are between the side of the magnet insertion hole facing the bridge section and the side of the magnet insertion hole facing the outward rotor section and between the side of the magnet insertion hole facing the bridge section and the side of the magnet insertion hole facing the inward rotor section, the recess sections expanding in the circumferential direction and in the radial direction of the rotor. The portion of the recess section on the side facing the bridge section becomes smaller toward the respective corner section of the permanent magnet, and the portions of the recess sections on the side facing the outward rotor section and the side facing the inward rotor section become smaller toward the respective corner sections of the permanent magnet.
