titleOfInvention Method for growing seedlings of cephalotaxus oliveri seeds
abstract The invention relates to a method for growing seedlings of cephalotaxus oliveri seeds. The method specifically comprises the following steps: selecting mature cephalotaxus oliveri seeds of which the episperm is grey and slightly claret-colored; accumulating the seeds for 5 days, turning and accumulating for 5 days again, kneading to remove the episperm, cleaning by using clear water, and drying; removing moldy seeds; arranging the selected seeds on an electric field treatment rack, starting an electric field generator with the voltage of 10 kilovolt, and treating 8 minutes; accumulating and storing the seeds according to a ratio 3:1 of the sand to the seeds by using the sterilized clear water sand for 6 months; screening the seeds after beginning of spring, soaking the seeds for 2 hours by using a Guoguang rooting agent and a carbendazim mixing solution, taking the seeds out and drying for later use; laying a black plastic film on the finished seed bed, seeding the seeds in soil, arching through bamboo skin and covering the film; and checking the damage caused by rats and emergence conditions in the period of waiting for emergence. By adoption of the method for growing seedlings of the seeds, the emergence rate of the seeds is about 40 percent higher than the emergence rate of seeds which are not subjected to electromagnetic field treatment, the survival rate of the seedlings is extremely high, and the method is suitable for large-scale planting needs.
