abstract The invention discloses a SiO2 doping-modified La2Zr2O7 ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The ceramic and the preparation method thereof realize the liquid-phase sintering and grain boundary control through the SiO2 doping with low heat conductivity, so that the mechanical strength of the La2Zr2O7 ceramic is obviously improved, and the heat conductivity is prominently reduced to achieve the purpose of coordinated regulation of the mechanical strength and the heat conductivity. The preparation method, disclosed by the invention, comprises the preparation of a mixed powder raw material of La2Zr2O7 and SiO2, the dry pressing of mixed powder and the ordinary-pressure sintering of ceramic biscuits. The preparation method has the advantages of stable and reliable process, simple equipment and obvious modification effect, and enables the SiO2 doping-modified La2Zr2O7 ceramic to become a heat insulating material with a reliable mechanical bearing performance.
