abstract The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a base material porous film and a laminated porous film having a heat-resistant layer. The method for manufacturing includes: coating the surface of the base material porous film with a coating slurry containing a solvent, a binder resin, and a filler, and subsequently removing the solvent, whereby the heat-resistant layer with the filler as the principal component is formed on the surface of the base material porous film, at which point the contact angle of the coating slurry in relation to the unprocessed base material porous film is adjusted to at least 75 DEG ; and furthermore, performing surface processing on the base material porous film before applying the coating slurry to the surface of the base material porous film, so that the contact angle of the coating slurry in relation to the base material porous film is no more than 65 DEG .
