abstract The invention belongs to the technical field of an additive used for automobiles, and specifically relates to a lubricant and a preparation method thereof. The lubricant consists of the following materials in parts by weight: polyolefin, a clearing agent, an ashless dispersant, an anti-wear additive, an antioxidant, a compound friction modifier and an antirust agent. The lubricant is obtained by blending polyolefin serving as the base component with the additives, wherein the polyolefin is polyisoprene, polyisobutene, polybutadiene and the like. The lubricant prepared by the method has the advantages that the thermal oxidation stability is good, the thermal decomposition temperature is high and the low-temperature resistance is good.
