abstract | The invention relates to a method for preparing biodiesel from cottonseed oil soap stock as a raw material. The method comprises the following steps of 1, putting a three-necked flask having the volume of 250mL into a heating jacket, and assembling a stirrer, a condenser and a thermometer, 2, adding a fat matter and methanol into the three-necked flask, adding concentrated sulfuric acid having mass percent of 4-8% as a catalyst into the three-necked flask according to an alcohol-acid mole ratio of 10-12, and carrying out stirring, heating and backflow for 8-10h, 3, removing methanol in the product, washing the product by water until a pH value is 7, carrying out heating dehydration, and carrying out sampling, and 4, determining an acid value of the sample, adding an acid removal agent into the sample, carrying out pumping filtration to obtain a crude product, and carrying out reduced pressure distillation to obtain mixed fatty acid methyl ester. Cottonseed oil soap stock as a raw material is acidized and the acidification product undergoes a direct methyl esterification synthesis reaction to produce the fatty acid methyl ester so that biodiesel production and resource comprehensive utilization are realized effectively. The method is simple, has a low production cost and a high conversion rate, eliminates environmental pollution caused by cottonseed oil soap stock and provides high-quality green fuel for an internal combustion engine. |
