abstract The present invention relates to a fluorine-containing material that can be used as an electrode active material, and a production method thereof. The material according to the invention consists of particles of fluorosulfate corresponding to the general formula (I) Li 1-x Fe 1-x Mn x SO 4 F(I), where 0<x≦1 and 0≤y<1. It is characterized in that it mainly comprises a strontite structure phase, and optionally a lithium strontite structure phase, said strontite structure phase accounting for at least 50% by volume. The material according to the invention is obtainable ceramically, ionothermally, or polymerically from the precursors of the elements it consists of.
