abstract |
The invention discloses soybean transcription factor GmMYB174a, and a coding gene and applications thereof. The invention provides (a) a protein with amino acid sequence 1 represented in a sequence table in the invention, or (b) a protein that is derived from amino acid sequence 1 and is related to plant stress tolerance, wherein amino acid sequence 1 is modified via substitution and/or deletion and/or addition of one or a plurality of amino acid residues. It is confirmed by experiments that expression of a coding gene of soybean transcription factor GmMYB174a in soybean is induced by high salt content, drought, low temperature and phytohormone ABA. Soybean transcription factor GmMYB174a possesses significant values for cultivation of new species with abiotic stress tolerance (salt tolerance), such as crops and grass; can be used for cultivation and identification of plant varieties with stress tolerance needed in agriculture and animal husbandry, and ecological environmental management; and is of significant importance in yield increase of crops grew in soil with low water content and high salt content. |
