abstract The invention discloses an additive for a livestock feed, which accounts for 0.3 to 2.5 weight percent of the basic feed. The additive comprises 10 to 50 weight percent of traditional Chinese medicine fine powder and 50 to 90 weight percent of mineral fine powder; the traditional Chinese medicine fine powder comprises echinacea and astragalus; and the mineral fine powder comprises tourmaline, gypsum and zeolite powder. The additive disclosed by the invention is formed by natural minerals and traditional Chinese medicine, is not added with antibacterial agents, antibiotics or other chemicals, and is green and environmental-friendly; the combined effect of the minerals comprising the tourmaline, the echinacea and the astragalus not only can promote growth of livestocks, but also is beneficial for discharging heavy metals and chemical components which are accumulated in livestock bodies, and can reduce and prevent people from eating the chemical components which are harmful for bodies.
