abstract | The invention relates to a composition and a method for detecting drug resistance of enterococci. The composition and the method are characterized in that the drug resistance of the enterococci is detected by using one pair or multiple pairs of specific primers and a multiple polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, wherein the composition contains the following oligonucleotide primer pairs: an enterococci 16s RNA (ribonucleic acid) specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 1 and SEQ ID No. 2, and one or more of the following drug resistant gene specific primer pairs: an aac-aph specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 3 and SEQ ID No. 4, a tetM specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 5 and SEQ ID No. 6, an ermB specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 7 and SEQ ID No. 8, a TEM specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 9 and SEQ ID No. 10 and an aad specific primer pair: SEQ ID No. 11 and SEQ ID No. 12. By using the composition and the method, the drug resistance of the enterococci in food can be simply and quickly measured with high sensitivity and strong specificity. |
