A thin film solar cell which can be produced using an inexpensive raw material and has improved conversion efficiency has been demanded. The thin film solar cell of the invention comprises at least one organic semiconductor material and a coordination polymer, and is characterized in that the coordination polymer contains a repeating unit which comprises a complex produced by coordinating at least one ligand to at least one metal ion, wherein the metal ion is selected from ions of transition metal elements and the ligand is capable of being coordinated to the metal ion and is selected from a sulfur-containing compound, a nitrogen-containing compound, an oxygen-containing compound and a phosphorus-containing compound. |
