Material and method for efficient lactic acid production |
abstract |
The invention relates to a material and a method for efficient lactic acid production. The invention relates to a separated genetically modified E.Coli bacterial strain, comprising the following modification: i) inactivation or deficiency of acetokinase genes; ii) inactivation or deficiency of fumarate reductase genes; iii) inactivation or deficiency of pyruvate formate-lyase; iv) inactivation or deficiency of alcohol dehydrogenase genes; and v) inactivation or deficiency of methylglyoxal synthase. The invention also relates to the genetically modified E.Coli bacterial strain, compring inactivation or deficiency of methylglyoxal synthase (mgsA). The invention also relates to compositions containing the bacterial strain and a method for producing D-(-)-LACTATE or D-(-)-lactic acid using the bacterial strain. The transformed E.Coli is very useful for increasing supply of lactic acid in food and industrial application. |
