abstract The invention relates to a cooling paste for children and a preparation method thereof, and solves treatment and medication problems for children having a fever. The technical scheme is that the cooling paste is prepared from raw materials, by weight, comprising 10-14% of sodium polyacrylate, 2.2-6.2% of edible gelatin, 2-8% of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 0.4-1% of citric acid, 4-26% of carbomer, 2-6% of astragalus polysaccharides, 10-20% of a distillate of the root of Chinese thorowax, 8-11% of kaolin or diatomite, 20-40% of glycerin, 6-12% of propylene glycol, 0.2-6.6% of menthol and 0.04-0.24% of disodium dihydrogen ethylenediaminetetraacetate. The cooling paste has advantages of scientific and reasonable components, abundant raw materials, easy production, usage convenience and good effects. The cooling paste can be effectively used for treating the children having a fever, and is an innovation in medicines used for treating the children having a fever.
